Matt is one of the best tech writers and gurus on the Web today. His ability to bring any topic down to a level that we can all understand is a talent that many might say they have, but few master as he has done.
Anyone who has the good fortune to collaborate with Matt Hartley on a project in any capacity will find that he isn’t just a coworker: he’s an inspiration. He’s engaged, straightforward, and knows at least a little (if not every last detail) about everything under the sun — but he’s humble about it and never talks down to those of us who might not happen to be in the loop. I’ve been gifted with the benefit of Matt Hartley’s expertise for the good part of a decade, and he’s taught me a lot; I’m grateful to know this wise, wise fellow.
When it comes to Linux related know-how, Matt is your man. He is also one of the best, definitely in my top 10, as far as tech writers go – toe to toe with the rest of the Web.
I’ve worked with Matt on various projects for almost ten years now. He’s been smart, creative, honest, diligent, and effective on each project. I’ve always enjoyed working with him, and I’m always looking for new projects to work with him on.
